A meeting of the Planning Commission was held at the Charter Township of Bedford, 115 S. Uldriks, on Monday, April 25, 2016, 6:30 PM, to hear a presentation by Sprout Urban Farms and to receive comments from residents regarding the keeping of poultry and/or livestock in residential areas.
The Township Planning Commission will now schedule a workshop to review the research materials provided by Sprout Urban Farms and prepare for a public meeting where comments from the public will be entertained prior to any decision to move forward with a potential change.
The public meeting is tentatively scheduled for July 11, 2016, 6:30 PM at the Township Hall.
A reminder will be published for the public hearing in the Battle Creek Shopper prior to the meeting. All residents are encouraged to have their voice/opinion heard by attending the meeting or by mailing a letter with your comments to Charter Township of Bedford, Planning Commission, 115 S. Uldriks Drive, Battle Creek, MI 49037.
